I purchased these blades to replace the blades I ran out of. I’ve got to be honest, I knew shaving with these blades was always going to be sharper than my cartridges, but I cannot believe how sharp these blades are! They require extra care, but provide such a nice shave it’s amazing!I recommend these to everyone I know that uses blades for shaving!

Update on Dec 21 2020 – I am now on the 4th blade and have found that these blades simply do not get dull. I got 62 shaves out of blade #2, and 57 on #3. #4 is cruising. If you are an aspiring member of the Excalibur club, this may just be the best blade you will find. Part of getting this many shaves is that I have to be willing to do 2 or 3 pass and some cleanup on the multi swirl areas of my neck, as well as be willing to accept some minor tugging after 15 shaves or so.I tend to prefer stainless over platinum blades. Stainless are a bit sharper on average, and platinum last longer on average. I was surprised at how sharp these blades are, and the 5th shave is as good as the first. Zero nicks or cuts so far. It’s sharp like an Astra SS but longer lasting like an Astra SP. I have used Durablade Sharps before, and found them to give very even performance for 3-4 shaves. The titanium extends the life a few more shaves. This blade may not be the right choice for someone who wants the extreme sharpness of a Feather, but these seemed to be a great match for my razor (Muehle R89) and my beard.

My favorite blades are Feather, Astra, Gillette 7 O’ CLOCK. Did three shaves with LOI. A fresh blade in each shave. All shaves were nice and smooth and close. The LOI seems to have a different feel-a faster shave with no hint of a cut. All results were a fine shave. Could it be the Titanium? Razors used were a JORIS, FATIP, and the R 41 MUHLE. I purchased two packs of 100 blades each. Since I use a new blade for each shave, I want them on hand. Blade works well with any of the fine soaps available for purchase.
